Testimonials 2011

Guild of Battlefield Guides

'Thanks for a splendid tour of the Normandy beaches. Very instructive, very entertaining and at all times absorbing. It is clearly evident, you have put much time into planning and the five days of the tour progressed without a hitch. The access to private properties and the presentations by other contributing guides provided valued additions. Agincourt and Crecy visits were unexpected and provided a contrasting bonus. I now have a hugely better grasp of the landing. Well done Graeme and Ali!'

'First rate. You hit the right notes and bring the group with you in you own enthusiasm for the subject'.  I have come back with a very much better appreciation of the whole operation and complexity of preparation of what went on. I am sure that there is a huge amount to study but you have brought much to life and 'fixed' he memory and understanding. Many thanks.

'A very well organised and informative Holiday .. guiding of high quality and the knowledge of Andrew Riddoch on his subject was out standing. I had a really good time and enjoyed your excellent organisation and the good company of our fellow travellers. Having visited the sites mentioned in Andrew's book re-reading it now is far easier to understand'

'Thank you very much for the series of presentations you gave on the battle of Waterloo .... not only were they extremely well put together and informative, but you presented them in an engaging and professional manneer. Our two guests, the Lord Lieutenant and Brigade Commander thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the Commanding Officer has asked me to pass on her thanks for for a set of entertaining and infomative vignettes.

Waterloo Night Presentation at 22 Signal Regiment - 18 June 2011

I found the tour to be  extremely interesting with highly knowledgeable and interesting characters in the group. It is always good to be amongst fellow enthusiasts. The great thing about touring with Coopers Waterloo Tours is that there is always something unexpected which occurs (in a nice way!) such as the Fuentes 200th re-enactment and best of all the entry into Wellington’s HQ.
Adrian Clark - Morden, Surrey - 'In the footsteps of Nosey' - Salamanca Tour 26-30 May 2011

A very good guide, with an excellent appreciation of the terrain and the ability to interpret battles even to novices to the campaigns being covered.
Liz and Dave Wilson Poole Dorset - 'In the footsteps of Nosey' - Salamanca Tour 26-30 May 2011

'Guiding was excellent, as ever.  Graeme’s luck held, scoring a private visit to Wellington’s headquarters and the re-enactment at Fuentes'
